So, your organisation requires a residential corporate retreat that will contribute to the success of your up-coming corporate event. Where to start?
Almost certainly you will want a venue with a solid track record in the corporate event area. Just like choosing an airline. A promise of safe delivery will be paramount. So, first you should understand that all venues – guest houses, motels, hotels, school camps – will be keen for your business and offer their facilities in a flash. Some at remarkably cheap prices. In many cases corporate events will not be their business. Your booking may be just be cream on the cake to them.
A word of caution
If the outcome of your event is important to your organisation, choose well. Choose a conference venue with a focus on, and a proven track record of successful delivery in the corporate event area.
You will probably be looking for a venue that has been purpose built and equipped for conferences. Meeting rooms with good natural light and ergonomic chairs that provide all day comfort for the delegates.
It would also be nice to know that an experienced conference co-ordinator will be assigned to your event. Someone who knows how to help you make your event the success you want. And need.
You may also want a retreat with specialist team building facilities.
Team Building Retreats Melbourne
Team building is a specialist area. Most retreats will be unable to offer the facilities experience you require. So, check it out carefully.
So, where to begin?
Of course, there are many more things to consider before you select a venue. That’s why we have put together our Conference Venue Inspection Checklist to help you ask the important questions of each of your short-listed venues. It’s FREE. And it’s available now.
