At CountryPlace, we’ve seen a few great business events over almost 30 years. 3000 of them. We know what works and have the experience to advise those new to planning a business event to expect success.
here are 5 key ways to ensure a successful event
1. Identify Your Objectives
Start with identifying an objective for the event. Defining a clear objective is important so your meeting has direction and isn't a waste of time. Know what outcomes you are looking for.
It can be helpful to have a clear vision for the event. Only set objectives and goals that can be measured.
2. Consider the Best Location
Consider the optimum environment for the event. Is the office appropriate or should this be an offsite meeting?
3. Choose an Established, Experienced Venue
Choose a venue with meetings experience and great staff. If you don’t know the venue, make sure you pay them a visit seeking assurance that they know how to add value to your event.
Make sure the venue puts your delegates needs first. Our Conference Venue checklist may assist you.
4. Set an Agenda
Set the agenda to add structure to your meeting. It will also do the same for your preparation, guiding you on the length of the meeting, who to invite and how much time is allocated for the discussion of each item.
5. Solicit Feedback
Provide for feedback from participants. Know what worked and what can be improved.
